A Grok Bot phone number is a Bland number. Agent Phone is $14.99 the first month, then $29.99, and Bland charges you when you approve it. The Bot plan does not include the line. A call still waits until you say start.

The number is a Bland bill
You are buying one US local number, plus calls and texts to the US and Canada. Bland calls the minutes and texts unlimited. One call can be active at a time, whether you dialed or they called you. It then stops at 20 calls an hour, 50 a day, and 1,000 minutes a day. One outbound call ends at 60 minutes. Texts end at 20 an hour and 100 a day. A second caller hears a busy signal. The $14.99 month is once for that Bland account. The next number is $29.99 from the first month. You can cancel from Bland’s billing screen.
A few calls are cheaper by the minute. The free Start plan is $0.14 a minute while the call is connected, on Bland’s billing page. Build is $299 a month and $0.12 a minute. Scale is $499 a month and $0.11 a minute. Texts on those plans are $0.02 each, coming or going. A call on Bland’s own phone network also has a $0.015 minimum, even when the attempt fails. The $2 credit is that same Start price for about 14 minutes, on a shared number, with no texts.
You approve the signup, then the call
Before there is a number, the Bot can show you a link and a short code. You open the link, sign up or sign in, and pick Agent Phone or the $2 credits. The key stays with the Bot on this browser signup. The code lasts 15 minutes.
If Stripe Link is connected and the Bot can pay through Link’s command line, there is a second path. Bland texts you a code that lasts 10 minutes. You read the code back, then approve the first month in the Link app. A Link virtual card cannot pay this. If the charge is declined, you get the browser link instead, and the Bot should leave that page for you to open.
After that, the Bot can place calls from that US number and report what happened. Incoming calls use the same number. Ask it to show you the person, the number, and why it is calling. It dials after you say yes. If the person asks who is calling, it should say it is an assistant. Tell it the US area code you want before signup, or say that any area code is fine.
A voicemail still counts as call time
Someone does not pick up, and the Bot lands in voicemail. That time still counts. On the per-minute plans it is billed with the rest of the call. On Agent Phone it counts toward the 1,000 minutes a day.
Keep emergency calls on your own phone. If the person asks the Bot to stop, that call is over.
iMessage stays on the Mac
If the text should stay in Messages on your Mac, use Grok Bot iMessage. This number does not read that history, and that helper does not dial.
The Bot plan does not include the number
Bland is not part of xAI. As of October 2026, a new plan that includes Grok Bot is Premium at $30 a month. Plus at $8 does not include the Bot, and neither plan adds this phone line. If an older plan still includes the Bot because you never switched, that exception is on the Grok Bot page.
Pick the monthly number, a few minutes, or skip the call
I’d pick Agent Phone when I want one US number I will actually use, inside those limits, and I will approve each call. I’d pick the $2 credits when I only need a few minutes and I can live without texts. I’d skip both when I do not want a Bot dialing people.
How I checked this
This page is what a Grok Bot phone number costs, and who has to approve the call. I used Bland’s phone-number cost page, Bland’s billing page, and Bland’s Grok Bot phone page. Plan prices for the Bot are from Cursor’s pricing page. I pick by whether you want the monthly number, a short test billed by the minute, or no call at all.

FAQ
Does Grok Bot include a phone number?
No. The line is Bland’s Agent Phone plan: $14.99 the first month, once for that Bland account, then $29.99 a month. You get one US local number, and calls and texts in the US and Canada, inside the hourly and daily limits. A later number starts at $29.99.
Can I try calls without the monthly plan?
Yes. Bland offers $2 of credits at $0.14 a minute while the call is connected, about 14 minutes, from a shared number. That trial has no texts and no number of your own.
Does the Bot dial before I agree?
You approve the number first, in the browser or in the Link app. For each call, have it show you the person, the number, and the reason, and start only after you say so. It should say it is an assistant if the person asks who is calling.
